Since I posted this, I have exchanged some private messages about this video with friends and family. On this 17th anniversary of this tragic event, I would like to say this:
I think it’s a good record of what happened that day. Yes, it’s hard to watch, but I think every American should (even young-people that are old-enough). Why are things the way they are now-days? Why do people feel they way they do? This is part of why.
There is very little bias … just a record of us all trying to figure out what the heck was happening that day. The whole world was watching also, and some felt powerless against the ruthless terrorist.
It seems they were circling and looking, but could not actually find the (relatively small) White House, so second target was the large Pentagon. Yes, I have been there. I think visiting Washington, DC is another thing every American should do.
The Flight 93 movie is also a good record of events. That airplane was likely destined for the Capitol building. Those passengers are true heroes. They are just putting the finishing touches on a monument dedicated to them. Here is a recent video about it.
